Revelations 22:2 talks about the river that flows from the throne of God and the Lamb. John describes the scene in Heaven as the river flows. He talks about the sound of every nation, tribe and tongue worshiping together. There are sounds, harps, angels, thunder, decrees and healing. When we join together we create a unique sound that patterns what is happening in Heaven. “And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.” (Acts 2:1) In the Greek, the word accord is homothumodon. The picture here is individuals joining together like instruments to create a symphony or song. Another picture is of separate drops or sounds who are going the same direction like many drops of water creating a moving river. God wants us to joint together to release Heaven on earth. As we release what we read about or see in heaven, we release Heaven on earth. We become the singing river that flows out of Heaven to the earth. Jesus said, ” I only do what I see the Father do and I only say what I hear the Father say. “(John 5:19) This is how we release what is going on in Heaven on the earth. This is how we become the “Singing River.”
